To create an account on TheOnda, follow these simple instructions:

After completing the sign up process, you will be taken to the full profile page. You will be able to customize and personalize your profile here.
Upload your picture and complete your full profile. You will be able to control with whom you want to share your information with in privacy settings.
You may always edit your information by going to Account and then profile on the top menu.
How do I set up my preferences? (Back to top)
In Preferences, you will be able to specify the types of sites you would like find more of on TheOnda. Select from the main categories listed on the left column and chose the topics you are interested in.

How do I set my privacy settings? (Back to top)
Go to Account and then privacy and select levels of privacy in the different sections of your profile and click on save.
How do I invite friends? (Back to top)
To invite your friends to join TheOnda and start sharing content with them, go to your wall and on the left column click on invite friends. Select the email provided or social network from the list and Input your username and password. The system will show your full contact list. Select all or choose the names you want to invite manually and click on Invite.
What information does TheOnda access when I connect a 3rd party (Facebook, Twitter, Hotmail, and Google) account? (Back to top)
We (the people at TheOnda) never see any of your personal information when we connect to one of these services. All connections are handled via the respective service’s API.
How do I find people on TheOnda? (Back to top)
To find people on TheOnda, go to your wall and look at the left column for search people. You can search using the user name or first name, last name (depending on their privacy settings).
How do I add a video, website or photo to TheOnda? (Back to top)
Before you add a link you must first confirm your email after registration.
All the videos, sites and photos that you would like to share on TheOnda must first be uploaded to a third-party website, as TheOnda does not currently host any content other than status updates and your profile picture.
Click on the Add button on the top right bar and paste or type the link from the external site into the URL box and click enter.
The system will upload the info available on the content such as title, description, tags, language and category. Members may edit this info and/or add their own content to help describe important aspects of a page. Tags may contain spaces and should be separated by commas. You can also search for tags available on TheOnda.
You may add your own comments/reviews.

Tags are key words which are attached to a video, website or photo so it makes the sites easy to categorize and find again. You can also use tags to search for related content.

You have 4 different ways of searching for sites:
Main menu, search box, surprise me, and tags.

When you click on the Surprise me button, TheOnda will recommend you videos, websites or photos handpicked for you based on your preferences and your most visited sites. It is a fun way to discover new sites.

To add a video, site or photo to you Favorites list, click on the “I like” button.
What are Following and Followers? (Back to top)
Following:
When you follow someone on TheOnda you receive their stream of favorite videos, websites and photos as well as their status updates on your wall.
Followers:
When somebody is following you on TheOnda, they receive your stream of favorite videos, websites and photos as well as your status updates on their wall.
How do I start following someone? (Back to top)
Whenever you find somebody you know or a person you want to follow, click on their picture or name to take you to their wall page and click on follow on the left top column.
How do I know who is following me? (Back to top)
TheOnda will display an alert on the top left of you wall every time you have a new follower. You can see your entire followers list by clicking on your followers tab on your wall.

To know who you are following, click the following button on your wall.
How can I promote my Profile? (Back to top)
Promote your TheOnda profile with your personalized URL. When you first create your account, your username (ex: JoeM) becomes part of your TheOnda URL http://theonda.com/JoeM.
Your TheOnda URL links directly to your profile page and is the easiest and quickest way for others to find you on TheOnda. Make sure you email this URL out to your friends, and share it whenever you talk about TheOnda to gain more followers.

Yes, visit the profile page of the person you want to stop following and then click the unfollow button at the bottom of the left column.

No, following on TheOnda isn't mutual. If someone finds you interesting, they can follow you, but you don't have to follow back. At the same time, if you think that person is also interesting, you can follow back.
